Hello ACS Families,

Here are your Friday Updates for today, October 18, 2019...

What's Happening?
  • October 19 (Saturday) - Dad's Club Campus Service Saturday.  Calling all Dad's and students, come help clean up our campus.  Projects to include: Power wash tables and chairs, rake gravel from playground, paint and pick up litter throughout campus, paint 4-square courts, etc.  Attire:work clothes and closed toe shoes, hat, bandana and/or sunglasses. Please apply sunscreen and bring your own water bottles.  Pizza and snacks at 12:00p.m.  RSVP to dadsclub@acsphx.org provide number of adults and students attending.
  • October 20 (Sunday) - Rosary Celebration 2019 at Phoenix Convention Center (Halls F and G) 33 S 3rd Street Phoenix, AZ  85004 2 pm - 4:15 p.m. Most Reverend Thomas J. Olmsted Bishop of Phoenix, presiding.  
  • October 25 - Nov 1 -  Arctic Adventure Book Fair coming to ACS in the K3 building.  Book Fair is open before and after school, during Trunk or Treat and Grandparents Day.  Open late for After Care families on Wed.   • Early Dismissal, Friday Oct. 25. -  Please rsvp if your student will need after care.
  • October 26 (Saturday) - Trunk or Treat!  Come out for gobbles of fun, costumes and decorated cars.  Want to decorate a trunk, reserve a spot for $20 (cash and check only).  Selling before/after school Friday and Monday outside K3 building.  Prizes for the top 3 trunk and costume themed combinations*Sno Cones available for purchase* Pizzas (med size) available for pre-purchase only ($12 cheese and $14 pepperoni)
Useful Information:
  • Safe Environment Training (SET):  Please complete your account, sign up for a foundation class or complete your online renewal. Each volunteer is required to have the SET training.  See attached directions for first time and renewal volunteers.  Renewal families: the user name format  is first name.last name.dop  which is connected with your curriculum.

School Store
  • October special:  Kit Kat ice cream $2.00
  • Don't want to send your student to school with cash? $10 Punch cards can be purchased at the School Store with cash or check.  
  • GIFT CARDS can now be purchased at the school store a variety of small denomination gift cards at the school store . Please see attached flyer for details.

Plan Ahead
  • November 1 - All Saints Day Mass (Holy Day of Obligation) at 8:15 a.m. All are welcome.  Parade of Saints Grandparents day visit the classrooms and shop at the Arctic Adventure book fair.
  • ACS Lego After School Club:  Next session starts on October 24 - December 19 $98/per student for 8 weeks.  See flyer attached to register online for the next session.
  • PIE General Meetings:  Feb. 4 and May 14.

  • Xavier College Preparatory's 8th Grade Day, Open House, and Shadow Program are available.  Attached is a detail timeline of all the events.  Thank you in advance for supporting Catholic education!
  • Notre Dame Prep High School household visit.  Prospective parents are invited to join our admissions team at the home of a current NDP Family to learn all about NDP community.  Please register for an evening in your neighborhood.  See the attached flyer.
  • November 9th (Saturday) Mother-Son Fun & Games in the Park 2 - 5 p.m.  Cost $25/family   Registration form attached.  Return to meglynberg@gmail.com or to the office.  
  • November 9th (Saturday) Kiwanis pancake breakfast.  Please support Kiwanis who supports ACS.  8 a.m. - 11 a.m. see flyer attached!
  • Christian Youth Theater will be producing our musical, The Lion King, in the spring. CYT has a variety of winter classes.  See image below.  All registration information can be found at cytphoenix.org/classes.
