Next Generation of Generosity Dinner 2020

Stewardship and service to others are core values at Annunciation, and students are encouraged at all grade levels to think of others before self. In keeping with this philosophy, every 8th grade class at ACS has hosted the Next Generation of Generosity Dinner to raise funds for charitable causes. very year the 8th  grade students work together to plan and market the event.  The purpose of the project is to first, provide for those less fortunate, and second, to showcase our future leaders and our great school community. This is the last time our the 8th graders will serve together before they enter high school.

This year, the annual Next Generation of Generosity Dinner ("NGOG") hosted by the 8th-grade class is going virtual.  HOW, you ask? They have recorded their presentation in the video.  They are excited to fulfill their last service project before they graduate and hope to raise much-needed money for their chosen charities.

History: The 8th grade, Class of 2020, at Annunciation Catholic School will host the first VIRTUAL CHARITY DINNER beginning TODAY through May 17, 2020.  The Next Generation of Generosity Dinner has been hosted by the 8th-grade class for the past five years, allowing the students to use their God-given talents to become stewards of others. Prior to the social distancing requirement of our community, the students spent the previous two months preparing for their service project.  Once settled into the virtual learning environment, they created the FIRST VIRTUAL DINNER WITH A PURPOSE VIDEO PRESENTATION, THE NEXT GENERATION OF GENEROSITY DINNER.

HOW DOES A VIRTUAL DINNER WORK:  A virtual dinner includes purposely preparing your favorite dinner to enjoy with your family, prepare your table, watch the video in the comfort of your own home, and make an online donation in the amount of the ticket price of $15 or more anytime over the next 5 days.

Proceeds from this dinner will be directed to two charities chosen by the 8th-grade class.  St. Vincent de Paul Society (which serves those in need in our community) and The Phoenix Dream Center (which helps heal and prevent human trafficking).

Stewardship includes sharing your time, talent, and treasures.   The only thing missing from an 8th graders equation of stewardship is the treasures. Please prayerfully consider donating online at or send your check to Annunciation Catholic School 32648 N. Cave Creek Road, Cave Creek, AZ 85331 with NGOG DINNER in the memo section.

BONUS: All money raised for St. Vincent de Paul will be MATCHED by a generous donor from St. Gabriel the Archangel Catholic Church.
