Vibrant Vinnie's

svdp logoAnnunciation Catholic School Vibrant Vinnies is an official part of the Society of St. Vincent de Paul under the leadership of the Diocesan Council of Phoenix and the Elizabeth Ann Seton (District Eleven) Council.
Our conference is comprised of thirty-four student members in fifth through eighth grades. Currently, we are the only elementary St. Vincent de Paul conference in the state of Arizona. Our conference holds monthly meetings, has a complete slate of officers and the members contribute our own money to the conference each month. Our conference completes one of two service projects a month. We pay for our own works and projects through member contributions, donations and fundraising. This event and our Annual Friends of the Poor Walk serve as our primary sources of income.

For the last two years, we have paid for a Christmas party for the children of the working poor in the Sunnyslope area. We pay for supplies and make over two hundred Christmas stockings for the children. In addition to that, we supply cookies and hot chocolate, games and prizes. From delivering food boxes to families in the inner city to making and distributing survival bags to the homeless, our conference members work tirelessly to help those in need.

Last year, our conference directly helped nearly 900 individuals through person-to-person contact.  During that time period, our conference members logged over 700 hours of community service and raised $2,300.00. Our conference motto is "You are never too young to serve." Inquiries and new members are always welcome to join us.
